Discover our analytical standards from Wellington Laboratories
Wellington Laboratories have recognised expertise in the manufacture of reference standards for environmental analysis and research. They offer a variety of native and labelled standards, which are molecules modified by the addition of a heavy atom, such as deuterium or carbon 13, to facilitate their identification and quantification. The marked standards are used as internal controls, which are added to the samples before analysis, to correct any losses or variations due to the analytical process.
Identify and quantify substances with precision thanks to Wellington Laboratories’ analytical standards
Our analytical standards enable to carry out analyses accurately, reliably and in compliance with international standards. They are designed for public and private laboratories, organisations and professionals who need to identify and quantify these substances in different environments, such as water, air, soil, food, biological tissues, etc.
Wellington Laboratories also provide ready-to-use calibration solutions, which have been designed to meet the regulatory requirements for dioxin, furan and PCB analysis in many countries.
When you choose Wellington Laboratories reagents, you benefit from recognised expertise and a personalised service.

The importance of analytical standards in research into persistent organic pollutants (POPs)
Reference standards are chemical substances with a known and certified composition, which serve as a reference for environmental analyses and research. They are used to calibrate measurement instruments, check the quality of results and compare data between different laboratories or methods. Analytical standards are essential for detecting and quantifying environmental contaminants such as PFAS, dioxins, furans, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and perfluorinated compounds (PFCs). These substances are considered to be persistent organic pollutants (POPs), which accumulate in the environment and present risks to human and animal health.
Some POPs are banned or regulated by international conventions. However, we need to know more about them in order to control them and reduce the use of these dangerous chemicals.
