It is in the field of petrochemistry that CHIRON AS Laboratories started their research activity for geochemical analyses: the aim was to develop biomarkers for oil exploration in the North Sea.
Today, CHIRON AS is one of the largest producers of reference standards in this field and offers a wide range of steroids, triterpenes (hopanes), terpenes, hydrocarbons, PAHs and alkyl PAHs as well as standards for the detection of oils in water.
