Imtakt Corporation

Exceptional HPLC columns for your multiple applications

Imtakt: pioneer in HPLC separation technologies

Imtakt Corporation is a Japanese company founded over fifteen years ago by Mr Yazawa Itaru and the Noriuchi family. Based in Kyoto, north-east of Osaka, it specialises in the manufacture of HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) columns, a technique for separating molecules present in a mixture.

Imtakt stands out for its unique stationary phases, which offer optimum selectivity and resolution for the analysis of complex compounds such as amino acids, proteins, vitamins, steroids, saccharides , etc.

Its HPLC columns are used in a wide range of fields, including LC-MS, pharmacology, cosmetics, agri-food and the environment. They are also highly stable over time and available in a range of sizes (from 0.75 to 28mm internal diameter and from 10 to 500mm in length) and particle sizes (2, 3 or 5 µm).

BCP Instruments has been the exclusive distributor of the entire range in France for over 15 years.

Stationary phases

Imtakt innovates in advanced separation technologies for HPLC chromatography:

    • Scherzo: multimode ODS* columns for separating compounds based on their interactions with different stationary phases.
    • Intrada: the specialist range of columns for the separation of “life sciences”, proteins, amino acids, silica and organic acids.
    • Cadenza: the range of ODS* columns with variable selectivity, low pressure and high resolution (3μm) or multifunctional ODS.
    • Presto: high resolution (2μm) non-porous ODS.
    • Unison: the next generation standard range (3μm), low pressure and high resolution (3μm), traditional fixed phase.
    • Dacapo: the Dual-Matrix silica/polymer column.

* Octadecylsilane is a hydrophobic stationary phase , It is used in reverse phase chromatography columns. It is used in reverse phase chromatography columns.

You can find all the ranges on our page dedicated to HPLC and also on the Imtakt – USA website.

Imtakt is also developing powerful tools dedicated to HPLC

To facilitate the selection, use and optimisation of its HPLC columns, Imtakt offers several free tools, developed by Yazawa Itaru. They include:

Finally, Imtakt provides a database of HPLC column applications.
