Our Polyfluoroalkyl phosphate esters analytical standards

These polyfluoroalkyl phosphate esters (PAP, diPAP and SAmPAP), are prepared by Wellington Laboratories.

These standards are essential for laboratories carrying out environmental analyses, They enable the accurate detection of PFAS in various media such as water, soil and biological tissue.

All our CRMs are available in 1.2 mL in methanol and are ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034 certified.

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT PAPs, diPAPs and SAmPAPs

Polyfluoroalkyl phosphate esters (PAPs), including SAmPAPs (mono- and diesters), are fluorinated compounds historically used in applications such as food packaging and stain-resistant coatings. These substances belong to the PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkylated substances) family, known for their persistence in the environment and potential health concerns.

  • PAPs and DiPAPs: polyfluoroalkyl phosphate esters used in various industrial applications.
  • SAmPAPs (mono- and diesters): derivatives of 2-(N-ethylperfluoro-1-octanesulfonamido)-ethanol (N-EtFOSE), historically used in food packaging. These compounds are recognised as potential precursors of PFOS, a PFAS of particular concern.

PAPs’ environmental analysis

Although the production of certain PAPs has ceased, their persistent presence in the environment continues to give cause for concern. They can degrade into more stable and potentially toxic compounds, such as PFOS.
